In general I am fairly balanced either way due to having done various spiritual practices and meditation on a regular basis, but qigong does make me more focused to the present moment which is awesome and I did do the 5 elements snake qigong a while ago when it felt like my energy was a bit too wonky, it worked like a charm to take the anxiety out of the situation. I enjoy the energetics of qigong very much too either way, feeling it when I am not doing qigong too so it is nice that it opens us up like that, to the perception of it.
