For the tight jaw, the short fuse, the shoulders up by your ears

Qigong for Stress and Anger Online Course

Stress and Anger Are Not Who You Are. They Are a Nervous System Stuck On.

Whether it shows up as constant stress, daily frustration, or a temper that gets away from you, the root is the same: a nervous system idling in high gear. This self-paced course uses breath, healing sound, and slow movement to switch it back toward calm, a few minutes a day. No experience needed.

Sound familiar?

Tell me if this is you lately:

A woman sitting alone at her kitchen table in the evening, shoulders tight and lost in thought
  • You snap at the people you love over things that do not deserve it
  • Your jaw is tight, your shoulders are up, and you cannot remember them being down
  • Small frustrations set off a heat in your chest that takes hours to cool
  • You hold it together all day, then feel it leak out at home
  • You have promised yourself you would stay calm, and been surprised how fast that promise breaks

And you have tried to just manage it. Here is why willpower keeps losing:

  • Telling yourself to calm down asks the thinking brain to override a body that is already flooded.
  • Bottling it up does not clear the charge. It stores it in your jaw, chest, and shoulders.
  • Venting rehearses the anger instead of releasing it, so the fuse gets shorter, not longer.

You are not a character flaw. Your nervous system is stuck on. And it can be switched back, through the body.

Why this works

Stress and anger are a body state, and the way out is through the body

Your nervous system has two gears: alert and rest. Chronic pressure teaches it to idle in alert, so your breath goes shallow, your jaw and shoulders clamp, and small things spark a big charge. Anger is not a moral failing. It is that charge looking for the exit.

You cannot think your way out of a flooded body. But you can breathe, sound, and move your way out.

Qigong for Stress and Anger works on the gear, not the story. Slow movements like Throwing Away the Trash and Squeezing Out the Liver release the physical charge, healing sound clears what talking cannot reach, and guided breathing switches on your body's relaxation response. There is an older layer to why this works, one Chinese medicine mapped long ago, and it is next. Practiced a little each day, calm stops being something you chase and becomes somewhere you can return.

  • Discharge the heat before it becomes a reaction you regret
  • Drop your shoulders and unclench your jaw, on demand
  • Lengthen the fuse so small things stay small
  • Build a steadiness that holds up on the hard days

The Chinese medicine view

In Chinese medicine, anger lives in the Liver

For 40 years I have studied how the body holds emotion, and Chinese medicine has been at the center of it the whole time. In this tradition every emotion has a home in an organ, and the home of anger and frustration is the Liver. The stress that builds through your day and never quite discharges settles there too.

The Liver's job is to keep your Qi, your energy, flowing smoothly. When pressure mounts and anger goes unexpressed, that flow stalls. Chinese medicine calls it Liver Qi stagnation, and stuck Qi turns to heat. That heat is the tight chest, the clenched jaw, the headache behind the eyes, the short fuse, the 2 a.m. mind that will not settle.

Anger is not a flaw in your character. In Chinese medicine it is Qi that has stopped moving, asking to flow again.

Left alone, that Liver heat spills over. It disturbs the Spleen and Stomach, the churn in your gut when you are stressed, and it unsettles the Heart, which houses the mind, which is why anger steals your sleep. One stuck organ, and the whole system tightens.

This course works the Wood element, the Liver and Gallbladder, directly. The Liver healing sound releases the heat, movements like Squeezing Out the Liver and Throwing Away the Trash get the stagnant Qi moving again, and the breathwork cools what is left. It is the same organ-and-emotion map we teach in our certification programs, brought down to a few honest minutes a day.

Why I built this course

I am Tevia Feng, founder of White Tiger Qigong. I have spent over 40 years studying qigong with lineage masters and testing it against Chinese medicine and modern research on the nervous system, breath, and movement.

This course brings together the practices I reach for when the charge rises faster than I can think: healing sound, slow movement, and breathwork, taught step by step with help from anatomists and acupuncturists. Over 200 instructors in 20+ countries now teach this work.

Nothing here requires belief. It requires a few minutes and a little floor space, and your body does the rest.

Questions people ask before enrolling

Stress and anger often come from unresolved tension, a nervous system stuck in high gear, or constant pressure. Left unchecked, they show up physically as tight shoulders, shallow breath, and a short fuse, and emotionally as irritability or burnout.

Yes, especially in high-pressure environments. But chronic stress and anger can wear on your health, relationships, and clarity. Qigong offers a safe, natural way to interrupt that cycle through the body.

No. The course is beginner friendly, and it also supports experienced practitioners who want more emotional steadiness.

It brings together ancient Taoist practice with modern neuroscience and fascia research, so every movement, sound, and breath has a reason you can understand and feel.

Release of built-up physical tension, a calmer nervous system, steadier focus and energy, a longer fuse under pressure, and a grounded sense of being back in control of your reactions.

Many students say they feel more present, less reactive, and better able to let difficult feelings move through them with breath and movement. Qigong is a supportive daily practice, not a replacement for professional mental-health care. If you are working with a provider, keep them in the loop.

Yes. You gain access to a global community of students and instructors for support, sharing, and encouragement.

Yes. Upon completing the course, you will receive a certificate of completion that you can download and print.

Many people feel calmer after their first session, because the breathing and sound work immediately. It is normal to feel improvements within the first week, though it varies with your body, routine, sleep, and how often you practice.

There is no strict requirement, but we recommend practicing at least 3 to 4 times per week for the best results. Even short, daily sessions can be very beneficial.

Yes. Qigong is gentle and adaptable, which makes it suitable for many chronic conditions. As with any new exercise program, check with your healthcare provider first.

No. All videos and PDFs are on our online platform. You just need a device with internet access.

No. This is functional qigong: practical breathing, sound, and movement explained through how your nervous system works. You do not need to believe anything for your body to respond.
