Is this a franchise?
+No. This is a licensing program. You build your own business under your own name (or with the WTQ city name at Tier 3) — we do not own your studio, your students, or your operations. We grant you specific rights to use the WTQ brand, curriculum, and infrastructure under defined terms.
What if I'm certified but not ready to license yet?
+Completely fine. Your Certified Instructor status continues with the standard $200 / 2-year renewal. You can teach the WTQ systems you're certified in, with attribution. The licensing program is optional. The door is always open.
What's the difference between certification and being "Certified"?
+Completing a Level 5 teacher training gives you a certificate of completion. To be CERTIFIED, you must also pass the Level 5 tests — written exam plus video analysis of forms. Only certified instructors can teach commercially. This program is open to certified instructors only.
Can I license a city that's not on your list?
+Yes. You can apply for any city. Pricing is the same globally — qualification is based on your readiness, not the city. Some cities are reserved for WTQ flagship operations and will be flagged in the application process if you select one.
Why a $1,500 application fee for Tier 3?
+Because Tier 3 includes city naming rights, territory, and certifying authority — these are scarce, valuable assets. The fee filters serious applicants from browsers, covers your territory setup (subdomain, brand assets, strategy session), and is credited to your first month if you're approved. Comparable territory licenses in fitness or martial arts (Gracie Barra, Pure Barre) charge $10,000+ in equivalent fees.
What happens if I cancel my license?
+You can terminate with 30 days' notice for any reason. WTQ-related domains and social handles transfer back to WTQ. You stop using WTQ logos and titles. You remain Certified — your underlying certification is separate. You're free to teach Qigong; you just cannot represent it as "White Tiger Qigong [City]" anymore.
Can WTQ open a flagship in my city while I'm licensed there?
+Yes. The Reserved Rights clause in the Tier 3 agreement makes this clear — WTQ retains the right to operate company-owned schools, retreats, and intensives anywhere in the world, including within your territory. We provide 90 days' notice. Your exclusivity is against other Tier 3 partners, not against WTQ itself.
What if there's a dispute?
+License agreements include a dispute resolution ladder: negotiation → mediation → arbitration through the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre. Hong Kong arbitration is internationally enforceable and fair to both parties.
