A Ten Day In-Person Retreat at Alba Hot Springs, Vietnam
with Tevia Feng, Founder of White Tiger Qigong

Walk the Eight Trigrams, Awaken Flow, and Embody the Living Alchemy of Water and Fire

Nov 23 - Dec 4, 2026 · from $1,497 · 3-pay available

Most qigong is trained standing in one place. This is the moving layer - spiral power through your hips, spine, and fascia, taught step by step at Alba Wellness Valley by Fusion in Hue, Vietnam. Capped at 25 people so Tevia can correct you himself.

Curriculum developed in collaboration with experts from Harvard, Stanford, and Cirque du Soleil

How much longer will you practice the eight forms standing still while the deeper transmission stays out of reach?

See if this feels familiar:

You've learned the eight forms of the 8 Trigram system. You know the postures. You've practiced them at home. You've felt what they do to your spine, your fascia, your breath. And yet — something is missing.

Tell me if this sounds familiar:

  • You perform the eight forms beautifully in place, but the directional power the system is built around stays out of reach.
  • You can name each trigram and what it represents, but you have never walked one.
  • Your spine knows the shapes, but your feet have never carried them through space.
  • You sense there is a deeper layer to 8 Trigram Qigong — and you cannot access it alone.
  • You have practiced the forms one way, but never trained both their Fire and Water expressions.
  • You have completed 8 Trigram Level 1, possibly Level 2 or 3, and the practice has plateaued.
  • You know the next transmission has to happen in person, in a circle, with the teacher.

You are not stuck. You have simply reached the limit of what stationary practice and online study can teach you.

Practitioner training alone at home
Tevia walking the circle at Alba Bagua walking practice in a cohort

Your 8 Trigram practice hasn't plateaued because of discipline. It's plateaued because no one has walked the circle with you.

You've been disciplined. You've trained the forms. You have watched the videos. But the walking transmission cannot be extracted from a recording — and that is the layer where 8 Trigram Qigong becomes a living system instead of a fixed sequence.

And then the cycle begins:

A form you used to feel deeply becomes repetition rather than revelation. The spiraling power you sense in the system stays theoretical because you've never been corrected mid-step. You understand the eight forces intellectually but cannot walk them through your kua, spine, and shoulders. You can perform the forms with intention, but have never trained the contrast — the same form as explosive Fire and as continuous Water. Your practice becomes a thing you do alongside your life, rather than the system that organizes it.

The good news: the walking layer is where the system was always meant to compound — and it is exactly what the November retreat at Alba is built for.

Introducing

The Bagua Walking Retreat at Alba — Ten Days of In-Person Transmission with Tevia Feng

The Bagua Walking Retreat is a White Tiger Qigong practitioner intensive held at Alba Wellness Valley by Fusion in Hue, Vietnam. Across ten days of training, you will receive the in-person transmission that turns the 8 Trigram Qigong forms into a walking, circling, spiraling Bagua practice — and trains the Daoist Water-Fire alchemy directly into the way every form is expressed.

Tevia teaching a circle at Alba

This is not a martial arts certification. This is not a new system to learn. This is the embodied layer of the 8 Trigram Qigong you have already begun — the layer that cannot be transmitted through video, and the layer that completes everything you have practiced so far.

The Alchemy at the Center

At the heart of the 8 Trigram system sits the alchemy of Kan and Li — Water and Fire. In White Tiger Qigong, this is not metaphor. It is how every form is trained.

Every 8 Trigram form has two elemental expressions. Li (Fire) is fast, explosive, sharp. Kan (Water) is fluid, soft, continuous. Same form. Two opposite qualities. The practitioner trains both — and learns to walk between them as the body moves through the circle.

Inside the retreat, you will:

  • 1
Train daily with Tevia Feng across ten teaching days

Structured sunrise practice, theory, midday practice, and afternoon integration.

  • 2
    Master circle walking foundations

Posture, rooting, stepping mechanics, and the eight directional changes that map to the trigrams.

  • 3
Train the Fire and Water expression of every form

Every 8 Trigram form in both its Li (fast, explosive, sharp) and Kan (fluid, soft, continuous) expression — same shape, two qualities.

  • 4
Integrate the eight forms into walking transitions

The forms stop being eight separate exercises and become one continuous embodied sequence.

  • 5
Build spiral mechanics through waist, kua, spine, and fascia

The kinetic chain training that transmits power through the circle.

  • 6
Receive your Bagua Walking Practitioner certificate

White Tiger Qigong Certificate of Completion awarded at the closing ceremony.

Meet Your Master Instructor

Tevia Feng | Founder of White Tiger Qigong

Portrait of Tevia Feng

His path into this work was not theoretical. A severe car accident left Tevia with a serious spinal injury for which surgery was recommended. He declined surgery and committed fully to disciplined Qigong practice, and made a complete natural recovery. That experience defined everything that followed.

Over more than 20 years of teaching, he has reached 70,000+ students across 80+ countries, and trained 200+ certified instructors now teaching in 20+ countries.

He is the first practitioner authorized by the central monastic body of Bhutan to create a Qigong program for monks — a recognition that places White Tiger Qigong inside the living tradition rather than adjacent to it.

The Theory

The I Ching, Taught in Depth

Every morning opens with theory before the body work begins. Across the ten days you build the I Ching from its eight primal forces into something you can actually use — a way of reading your own state and knowing what to practise about it.

Bagua walking practice in a cohort at Alba, Vietnam

This is the layer that turns 8 Trigram Qigong from eight forms into a system. The exact sequence is set by Tevia for each cohort.

  • 1
    The eight forces

Heaven, Earth, Thunder, Mountain, Water, Fire, Wind and Lake — what each one does in the body, not just on paper.

  • 2
    Water and Fire

The alchemy at the centre of the system, and why the Daoists treated their separation as the definition of ageing.

  • 3
    Early Heaven and Later Heaven

The two arrangements of the eight trigrams, what each is for, and how the circle you walk maps onto both.

  • 4
    Reading a situation

A trigram is a force; a hexagram is a situation. How to read one on yourself and prescribe the practice that answers it.

The Cohort

A Cohort Capped at 25 Practitioners

November 23 – December 4, 2026. Held for the first time as a structured ten-day cohort at Alba.

This cap is not a marketing choice. It is a teaching choice.

The walking transmission requires hands-on correction. Tevia walks the circle with each student during stepping practice. Beyond 25 students, the depth of correction that makes this retreat what it is becomes impossible.

Frequently Asked

Questions Before You Reserve

Is this Bagua Zhang martial arts? +

No. This is a White Tiger Qigong practitioner course that uses Bagua-inspired circle walking to integrate the 8 Trigram Qigong forms in motion, trained in both their Fire and Water expressions. It is not martial arts certification.

What is the Kan-Li alchemy that this retreat focuses on? +

In White Tiger Qigong's 8 Trigram system, every form has both a Li expression — fast, explosive, sharp — and a Kan expression — fluid, soft, continuous. Same form, two elemental qualities. The practitioner trains both, and learns to walk between them as the body moves through the circle.

Do I need to own any 8 Trigram course before booking? +

No. Your 8 Trigram Qigong online courses are included in the price of both tiers, and access is sent the day you book. What we require is that you complete Levels 1 and 2 online before you arrive in Vietnam — roughly eight to ten weeks of self-paced study. This is what allows the ten days at Alba to be spent on the walking layer and the Water and Fire alchemy rather than on learning the forms from scratch.

What if I cannot finish Levels 1 and 2 before November? +

Email us and we will look at your timeline honestly. The material is self-paced and most people finish comfortably in eight weeks, but arriving without the forms in your body means spending the retreat catching up instead of going deeper.

Can I teach Bagua Walking after the retreat? +

No, not publicly under the White Tiger Qigong name. You receive a Certificate of Completion as a Bagua Walking Foundations Practitioner, not a teacher certification.

Is accommodation included? +

No. Alba Wellness Valley by Fusion offers preferred rates to White Tiger Qigong students, and you book your accommodation directly with Alba. Multiple room tiers are available with daily breakfast and unlimited hot springs access included.

How does the payment plan work? +

Both tiers can be split into 3 monthly payments at no extra cost. The Practitioner Path: $499/month x 3. Inner Circle Complete: $832/month x 3. First payment is due at enrolment; the full balance must be paid by October 24, 2026 — 30 days before training begins.

How do I get to Alba? +

Fly into Phu Bai International Airport (Hue) or Da Nang International Airport (about 1.5 hours by car from Alba). Detailed travel guidance is sent to all enrolled students after payment.

What happens if I need to cancel? +

Places are limited and held for you, so deposits are not refundable and final payments are not refundable within 60 days of the start date. No refunds are given once the training has started. If you can no longer attend, tell us as early as you can and we may be able to move your place to a future training or convert your payment to course credit. Full terms are in our Refund Policy.

Is this suitable if I am recovering from an injury? +

The walking practice is low-impact but requires ankle, knee, and hip mobility and consistent standing through training days. If recovering from injury, email us before enrolling so we can advise.

Is there a post-retreat continuation option? +

Yes. After the retreat, an optional 8-week group coaching cohort is available for $497 — four live group calls with Tevia over eight weeks. There is also an optional $197 video assessment add-on.
